Environmental Illness (EI)
Environmental Illness (commonly called "EI") is a multi-degree / multi-symptom disorder that can include simply feeling "funny" when exposed to perfumes to being hyper-reactive to your total environment (as in universal reactors).
Gary Osborn spent 9 years in the clinical ecology medical business in Dallas and saw tremendous strides made in the identification of "allergens" (or substances that cause reactions).
Many protocols and products were developed to help EI patients, and the rate of repeat patient visits led him to believe that the true underlying cause of WHY patients were so reactive was being missed.
Although we are not an environmentally oriented clinic, we can see EI patients for diagnostics purposes in order to determine what is making your immune system hyper-reactive.
Other disorders associated with EI include Chronic Fatigue & Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) and Fibromyalgia (FM). We have tremendous success in treating these disorders because, again, we can determine the true underlying cause.
Some of the common symptoms we find include severe adrenal exhaustion and an imbalance in your sex hormones.
Toxic heavy metals (like Mercury in teeth fillings for example) can also be involved as they tremendously upregulate and cause imbalances to the immune system. Mercury is the most toxic substance known to man!
There are many other toxic heavy metals that are found in our daily lives which can (and often do) disrupt the biochemistry of our bodies.
We can measure and treat all of these disorders. It is our area of expertise! TIFM is the Leading Medical Clinic in the United States in these areas of treatment!
