Kevin D. Light, DO, MBA (Medical Director)
Dr. Kevin D. Light was instrumental in the creation of TIFM Aesthetics. He has been practicing the art and science of surgery since 1988. He attended Michigan State University earning his Bachelors of Science degree with honors in Biochemistry. Following medical school he obtained specialty training in General Surgery and was Chief Resident his fifth year. Dr. Light then entered the Air Force where he practiced general and trauma surgery around the world for 7 years, earning two Air Force Commendation Medals. While in the Air Force, Dr. Light went on to receive training in Aerospace Medicine and flew actively with multiple F-15 and F-16 jet fighter squadrons internationally. He also served as Chief of Surgery during his deployment to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War as well as Chief of Surgery during extended assignments in Germany, Jordan and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Dr. Light trained with some of the best cosmetic surgeons in the U.S. Air Force. He eventually returned to "civilian life" and moved to the Dallas area. He continued developing his expertise in cosmetic surgery, studying and training with many nationally and internationally prominent cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Light is a diplomat of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). He is a fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) and is active with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) as well as the Texas Cosmetic Surgical Society. He recently finished his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Light attends many conferences and training sessions throughout the year to keep abreast of the latest trends in cosmetic rejuvenation.
