Wrinkles are usually connected to aging, but many other factors contribute as well; including sun exposure, pollution, smoking, health, lifestyle & heredity.
Injectable fillers are substances that can be used to lift lines and sculpt the face. They can improve or reduce the appearance of creases, wrinkles, scars, under-eye depressions, and can also be used to build up cheeks and chins, lift brows, and define and enlarge lips.
It is a popular treatment that usually take no more than forty-five minutes to complete. Some injectables will require multiple treatments that are spaced out over several weeks. A local or topical anesthetic, or a numbing agent may be administered for comfort.
You will see results immediately. Side effects tend to be minimal with most injectable fillers. Bruising, swelling and redness may occur but typically fade within one to two days. Normal activities, including work, can usually be resumed right away.
The results of injections will vary for each individual as will the length of time it will last. Some patients have reported their treatment lasting a year or longer. Others have reported a duration of only 3-6 months. Therefore, repeated injections may be necessary.
