Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

The eyes are central to one's appearance. They have been called the "gateway to the soul". More than any other facial feature, your eyes reveal the most about how you feel. If your eyelids look old, you appear old to those around you.

When your eyes are bright and alert, you appear energized, well-rested, and in control.

When your upper lids are droopy or lower-lids are puffy, you appear fatigued, unhappy, and even angry.

As we age, the muscles around our eyes tend to weaken and our skin begins to sag. Fat also accumulates around the eyes.

Eyelid surgery is designed to remove fat, excess skin and muscle from the eyelids. It can be performed on the upper or lower eyelid, or both. This procedure is designed for those wanting to look younger, more refreshed and more alert. Even the slightest changes to your eyelids can help you look younger and more vibrant!

Eyelid surgery is usually performed for patients aged 40 and above, although it can be done for patients that are in their 20s and 30s. The procedure is easy and done under twilight anesthesia. It takes approximately one hour, and post-operative discomfort is surprisingly mild.
